Fardous Mohammad Safiul Azam is Dhaka-born, besides his childhood was passed in Moulavibazar
district following an early childhood time in Gazipur district. At the age of 13, he returned into
city-life and residing till now. He started career at the
Department of Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering and the Department
of Molecular Medicine & Bioinformatics in the University of Development Alternative with an active
role in academic teaching and research. At present, he is pursing PhD at Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) on maize functional genomics for bio-fortification of folate. He is playing youth leadership role on
agriculture, health, environment and climate change issues, nationally and globally. He is passionate to conduct researches on agricultural biotechnology that includes plant tissue culture,
nutritional benefits of vegetables, medicinal plants and biodiversity conservation. He is very keen to create research team with students and work together to whom he is devoted. Quite a good number of his research works have been published in several international journals and were also have been presented in different international conferences. He is attached with YPARD (Young professionals` for Agricultural Development) as Bangladesh Representative since 2013 and also enjoying the journey as Liaison and Partnership Officer at YPARD Asia and Pacific.About F.
